PainChek Back-End 2.49 & Front-End 3.20 Release Notes - Thursday 29th of September 2022
Who should read this?
This release note applies to all PainChek users who are currently using the PainChek Portal.
What's happening?
The PainChek Portal release version Front-End 3.20 and Back-End 2.49 will be updated on Thursday the 29th of September 2022.
What's changed?
Bug Fixes and Performance Improvement
PainChek is no longer supporting some very old versions of the PainChek mobile app.
This applies to iOS versions 2.19 and earlier and Android versions 4.20.0 and earlier. Users on these old versions must update their App before they can continue using PainChek.
The versions that are being deprecated are more than 18 months old. Those versions are missing the latest feature, security, and performance improvements.
If you are using a deprecated version of the PainChek app, when you try to sign-in to the app you will see the following message:
This device is running an out-of-date version of PainChek. It needs to be updated to the latest version before you can sign in and use PainChek.
Please contact the PainChek administrator in your organisation to get this device updated. Once it is updated, try to sign in again.
Please contact PainChek support on +61 1800 098 809, or via support@painchek.com if you have any questions.
Administrators are now able to manage facility access for Users that are Pending Activation.
Fixed an issue where TenantID users were not able to sign in if their password had an @ in it.
New Features and Enhancements
Created an end point on the API which displays the version of the backend.
Added Password Security policy which allows for more complex password requirements.
Implemented support for a North American server.
Backend and Maintenance Updates
Removed backend support for the /api/account/user/inactive/ and /api/account/pending/ (GET and POST) endpoints because they are redundant due to the /api/account/user/ endpoint.
What do I have to do?
PainChek App:
If you are using iOS versions 2.19 and earlier or Android versions 4.20.0, please update the Apps to the latest version before Thursday the 29th of September 2022 to avoid disruption to your access.
PainChek Portal:
For the PainChek Portal to update there's no action required. The update will occur on the server so when you log in after the update is applied, you will already be using the latest version of the PainChek Portal.
There will be a slight performance degradation on Thursday 29th of September 2022 between 9:30pm and 10pm AEDT for a maximum of 10 minutes while the update is applied.
In the unlikely event that the PainChek Portal gives an error after the upgrade, please clear the cache from your web browser. Please speak with your internal IT team if your web browser needs the cache cleared.
