PainChek Android Release Note - Update 4.34

Who should read this?

This release note applies to all PainChek users who are currently using PainChek for Android.

What's happening?

The PainChek Android version 4.34 will be released on Thursday 9th of October 2025. 

What's changed? 

Bug Fixes and Performance Improvements

  • Fixed an issue where a comma appeared at the end of the Ward name when using Ward filtering.

  • General performance enhancements to ensure a smoother and more reliable app experience.

New Features and Enhancements

  • Improved NRS Assessments: Added a helpful prompt that highlights any mandatory fields that haven’t been completed before saving.

  • Customisation Options:

    o   Organisations can now request to remove the Manual Assessment option.

    o   It’s now possible to remove the Numerical Score from PainChek assessment types if desired.

  • Quick Sign In: Updated the icon sorting so that it now matches iOS (alphabetically by first name).

  • Consent Form Flexibility: Added an option for users to decline PainChek consent forms.

  • Assessment Order: Adjusted the order of assessments for a more intuitive workflow.

Backend and Maintenance Updates

  • Updated Google Play’s target API level to maintain compatibility with upcoming Android versions.

What do I have to do?

If your device is set to receive updates automatically, there is no need to do anything. PainChek should be updated automatically
